THE COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION FOR DISABLED PEOPLE (CBRDP)

The PCC started CBRDP Project in 2006 in Char Ishwardia and Char Niluxmia Unions in the district of Mymensingh. It focuses on creating Disbled Peoples' Organizations (DPOs). Each of them is made of 45 members from the "Self help groups." A DPO is designed to function independently of the CBRDP and continue to promote the opportunities of people with disabilities. This includes going to the local government, as well as networking with other NGO's and the local community.
